Anyone can catch a big one. The lakers are out deep and the cohos are shallow(50-70 feet) of water. spoons are working well at high speeds. Most of the fish are big, that makes for a great day on the water.
There are two distinct groups of fish that are available. There are the Cohos and kings in 50-70 feet of water following the bait balls and there are Lakers, steelhead, kings, and some coho out in 95-120 feet. The kings are coming on spoons mostly on lead lines. For the past week four species have been taken, but there always is an elusive brown to remain to be caught.
